We are seeking dedicated professionals with a passion for leadership in educational facilities to join our board! We offer different levels of commitment (Executive Board Officer, Committee Chair, or Committee member) to help fit your interests, abilities, and time. Each position is a vital part of FLAPPA. All positions are volunteer. We encourage anyone interested to apply, whether you’re an emerging professional, a business partner, or a long-standing member. Apply now by sending your letter of interest to [email protected]. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and discussed at monthly board meetings. Workgroups (2-year term) Are voting members of the Executive Board, attend all Chapter meetings, recommend and prepare agenda items for Executive Board consideration, and perform such other duties as the President may from time to time designate. Institution Membership Committee: will maintain an updated contact list for members and potential members at these institutions. Their committee will contact all members and potential members, encouraging them to become FLAPPA members and participate in ongoing initiatives and the annual conference. Updated information will be forwarded to the FLAPPA administrator as it becomes available. Conference Committee: will have the responsibility of planning and coordinating the annual meeting. The Conference Committee will consist of the Host Site Committee, Conference Committee members, and Education Committee representation. Business Partners Committee: will contact and invite into membership individuals, organizations, manufacturers, and suppliers of goods and services operating for a profit and ascribe to the policies and purposes of APPA and wishing to support the activities of APPA and the state chapter - FLAPPA. Expectations: Committee Chairs and Committee Members are expected to:
fully discharge their positions’ duties and responsibilities during their 2-year tenure.
secure their institution’s support for their commitment to FLAPPA (including, but not limited to, time of 2-3 hours a week and expenses related to FLAPPA business travel)
participate yearly in one in-person meeting and attend the annual conference.
